Propel Colorado Hockey will cultivate and underwrite youth players demonstrating NCAA Division I talent, but with limited family budgets.

Revolutionizing the Colorado Youth Hockey Environment.

Colorado is facing a concerning trend: 80% of our top youth hockey players are leaving Colorado in search of more competitive play at a lower cost. Some leave the sport due to family budget constraints. While we rank 9th in youth hockey registrations, Colorado’s top-rated team nationally is ranked 25. These statistics tell a story of talented youth hockey players with big dreams, but limited access and opportunities.

Propel Colorado Hockey is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping Colorado hockey players in the sport and in the state. We aim to provide talented individuals with the resources and opportunities they need to excel in hockey with the short-term goal of producing six NCAA Division I players per year in development programs.

Here’s how we will do it:

Support development programs of top youth players from the Colorado hockey environment to set and measure program goals.

Support for Players with each player receiving:

o   Travel stipends

o   Expert training and development

o   Uniforms and equipment

o   Player vouchers

o   Development program endowments

Foster Community Engagement: Support outreach programs, clinics, regional tournaments, and workshops to promote hockey participation and retention.

Advocate for Infrastructure: Push for increased ice sheets in the area, understanding that more ice builds community, encourages socialization and long-term wellness, provides elevated hockey training, and helps reduce burdensome costs for all.

We welcome hockey lovers, sports lovers, and everyone in our beloved Colorado community who wants to see talented kids thrive regardless of income.
